The essence of sacrifice as offering is the transfer of punishment from me to the sacrificial offering. It is a concept that is rooted in ancient faith as told in the book of Genesis. This is not something that people of current generation can relate in daily lives outside of faith context.

The essence of following Jesus is the belief that he is the perfect sacrificial offering for all and for ever. From worldly perspective, it does not add up. It is a mystery how I maintain this belief amidst all the worldviews around me every day.

The journey of faith is a mystery. By the grace of God, I experience him through this journey.

On this Good Friday, if you have not done so, I beseech you to accept Jesus’ invitation to walk with him in this mysterious journey of faith.
