Faith is based on promise. In my case, promise about the past, the present, and the future.

The past: Jesus died for me on the cross out of his love.

The present: Despite the struggles life throws at me, I experience his constant love, peace, and joy.

The future: He promised that I will join him and be forever with him. Not because of what I did, but because of what he did. And I trust his promise.
