"Sin speaks to the wicked deep in their hearts; they reject God and have no reverence for him. Because they think so highly of themselves, they think that God will not discover their sin and condemn it."

There are several reasons why humans sin. One of them is thinking that they will never get caught. Or if caught, the consequence can be dealt with later.

But God always sees. Nobody can hide his / her sin from God.

Irreverence toward God is never a good thing.
