It is very easy to criticise God. Or to be disappointed in him, because he did not do what we thought he would do.

Fact is: he is God, not the butler. God does what he - and he alone - deems good. At times I do not understand what he deems good. I cannot look beyond what is visible to my limited knowledge.

But time and time again, when I look back, I see his goodness. And I am thankful.

"God is good all the time. And all the time, God is good."
