Same God
Christians believe that we worship the same God who created the universe and who called out Abraham. The same God of Moses, David, and all throughout the "Old Testament" and the "New Testament". The same God that Jesus called Father.
Same God. But mankind's understanding of him evolved. How Abraham understood was different from Moses and David. Different from the Apostles too.
All that is written in the Bible point to the faith toward the same God. And yet there are nuances that are absolutely unchanging and nuances that, however slight, evolved. Evolved without changing the faith, but enriching the faith.
An imperfect analogy that I can think of is to a piece of music. Many of us know the song "Twinkle, twinkle little star" which was based on an old song "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman". There are actually twelve variations of it written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Magnificent piece of music! Now every time I hear "Twinkle, twinkle", I recall the joy of listening to Mozart's version.
I pray as Christians, every day you and I live out the faith beautifully for the glory of God.
