Keeping my promise to others is very important to me. But a promise to God, I sometimes negotiate how or when to fulfil it.

Why?

God is a generous God.

But that is not reason for me not to keep my promise to God.

He wants me to keep my promise, because the act of keeping the promise is an act of faith. And acting on my faith builds up my faith further.
