Expectations, or mismatched expectations, are the sources of many disappointments. I expected A, B, and C. I thought those were going to be great for me. But bummer. I did not get them.

Over time, in their place, God blessed me with X, Y, and Z. And those were "good". Not "good" in the way I would initially defined them, but "good" according to God. And "good" for God is good enough for me.

I learn not to worry about expecting anything from God. He always have something "good" for me. Every day.

"The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
