Both Barsabbas and Matthias were there with the other disciples the whole time. They also experienced all the ups and downs, were awestruck and elated, were downcast and dejected, and were then relieved when they were reunited with Jesus. Their experiences and emotions were as real as Peter’s.

You and I also have real experiences and emotions in our walk of faith. Just like the famous preachers and authors of our time. Although I do not operate at the same scale as them, God’s dealings with me are as real. My faith challenges are as real.

What God requires of me is to be faithful the whole time and not give in to the temptations from the devil and my selfish desires.

please help me not veer to the left nor to the right
but remain steadfast in your path
the whole time
