Unless I live independently isolated, my daily plan would include other people, whether they are close or not. Even if I do not have a special plan for the day, it would still involve other people, directly or indirectly.

So if an angel tells me this morning that today is my last day, how would I change my plan for today? I can change whatever does not involve others, but what about activities that involve others? Is it okay to ask them to drop whatever they have to do today to spend time with me? There are also other people involved in their activities.

People’s lives do not revolve around me. I do not want to impose on them and, at the same time, I think it is nice to give them the opportunity should they want to change their plans.

Anyway, still no angel this morning. But it might still be my last day. (James 4.13-17)
