Knowing does not always make it any easier.

Knowing God loves and wants what is good for me does not make going through life any easier.

Knowing I will go to heaven when I die does not make getting seriously ill any less strenuous.

Not because the knowledge is flawed - as it might be - or because the faith is short - as it also might be. Maybe it is due to the intrinsic ’fight or flight’ biological response. Or maybe the feeling of not in control.

Regardless, I think it is okay. God is in control. All the time. I have experienced it.

as you have comforted me
