Tortoise 🐢 does not get much respect. The world emphasises speed and wealth and glamour. And tortoise is not like that. Tortoise is slow, simple, and boring.

Hare 🐇 is friendly, cute, and fast. But in Aesop’s fable, the hare lost the race to the tortoise. It was a fable only, but the lesson can happen in real life also.

Life is not a simple straight line.

The lesson of the tortoise 🐢 is to constantly move forward focused on the end goal. To not get distracted nor lazy. To stay on sustainable pace and not get burned out.

It is not as easy as it seems.

But God is not in a rush and he does not ask me to rush.

The world is a fear and distraction monger. It defocuses me away from God and instills insecurity in my mind.

I want to stay on God’s path always. Sometimes he puts me in a rollercoaster 🎢. Sometimes it’s slow like the tortoise 🐢. And that is fine by me.
