Perseverance is a choice. According to Cambridge dictionary, to "persevere" means "to continue making an effort to do or achieve something, even when this is difficult or takes a long time".

To persevere is to choose to keep going in the same route, knowing the difficulties, instead of choosing a different route.

It is in faith
that the perseverance fits the Lord's purpose.
Not out of narrow-minded stubbornness,
but out of loyalty to the Lord.
Not being dragged begrudgingly,
but with willing surrender.
Not giving up,
but keep going until achieving the Lord's purpose.
Not out of self interest,
but by following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
