Patient with me
Many of us get agitated when someone asks for information that we have given. Or when the information we gave out was overlooked. Typically, our reaction would be "I have told you ..." or "Why can't you pay attention ...".
Many times, it would be quicker and shorter to give the information again. And instead, we rant to the person who neglected the previous information before we give them the information again.
The issue is not the information, but how the behaviour made us feel. In truth, he / she forgets. It is as simple as that, but we question the reason. "He / she was not paying close attention to me." Or "he / she cannot do anything right". It felt as if "I do not matter that much"?
I am certainly guilty of this. But I also, at times, behave like the other person. I forget or I did not pay attention to things.
I definitely do that towards Jesus. I ask "What is your will Lord?" when his will is already written down in the Bible. I need to study it and apply it.
I am glad the Lord is patient with me. I need to be patient with others.
