One of the definitions of 'latency' refers to a kind of delay in response due to one thing or another. For example, when we speak in a certain environment and there is a slight delay - or latency - in hearing the echo of our voice.

Latency is all around us. Mostly too small to notice or to bother us, but they can accumulate and create domino effect. And this accumulation may have negative impact.

God is all powerful, but he mostly work through nature and people which introduce latency. And people's response, my response, also has latency. Whenever God tells me to do something, I tend to think "wait God, let me finish this one first and I will get to that as soon as I can".

God is patient with me. But the other direction is not always true. I frequently wonder, why hasn't God completed this or that? Latency accumulates. I could be the cause, too. Or when dealing with other people, latency is also present.

I need to be conscious of it. Be patient. And focus on the big picture.

There might be latency, but God is always on time.
