Finish the task (2)

"I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace."

(Acts 20.23-24 NIV)

Paul was very clear about his task and he was very committed to complete it, no matter what. Because to Paul, this task was worth significantly more than anything, even compared to his own life - his own interests.

God gives different tasks to different individuals. What is it worth? Is it worth more than anything? Or is money or glory worth more?

It should not be.

Dear God,
please help me reflect in my daily life
that you are more important than anything
