When I take care of a baby, I cannot be transactional. “Okay baby, if you do this, I will do that.” No. A baby does what a baby does. I am the one who needs to adjust and accommodate. I need to change my lifestyle and attitude.

For some people, this is a scary idea. But people who have had a baby understand. And those who have their attitude changed through having a baby, understand the pure joy, even in spite of the challenges.

Jesus came as a baby into this world and into my heart. I am the one who needs to change to accommodate him in my life. And oh what joy that is!
