The Christmas story (2)

Do you compare yourself with others? What measure do you use? Are you satisfied with how you compare?

I frequently think “maybe I can do better or should do better”.

Christmas celebrates the coming of baby Jesus and it is also a reminder of who this baby Jesus became as a man. Carpenter and itinerant teacher. He did not become a powerful high priest nor a powerful ruler / politician nor a wealthy entrepreneur of his day.

From worldly measure, Jesus was not “successful”, but nobody pleases God more than him.

I want to be like Jesus and be less distracted by worldly measure. I want to be “successful” where it counts with God. To be a person who pleases God and accomplishes his purpose.
