"In the past, God spoke to our ancestors many times and in many ways through the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son."

(Hebrews 1.1-2 GNB)

It is not that prophets stop to exist, but God no longer speak only using the "prophets" channel - he now speaks through omnichannel, including his Son and the Holy Spirit.

The Gospels reveal a lot about God's thoughts as communicated by his Son and the Holy Spirit reveals a lot about individualised insights from God to Jesus' followers. The Holy Spirit also helps each follower understands how to apply the Bible into daily life application specific to her / his faith.

The onus is on the follower to listen and obey.
