"He had to become like his brothers and sisters in every way, in order to be their faithful and merciful High Priest in his service to God, so that the people's sins would be forgiven. And now he can help those who are tempted, because he himself was tempted and suffered."

It is good to know Jesus became human like me and "was tempted and suffered". It does not make it any easier for me. No.

But I cannot say Jesus does not understand. He does. And he cares for me. "I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, who will stay with you for ever. He is the Spirit who reveals the truth about God." (John 14.16-17 GNB)
