Just wondering how it works when a devoted follower gets dementia. Parts of the mind are foggy and many memories are lost. Mental capacity is diminished.

I speculate her / his spirit still connects to the Holy Spirit - despite diminished intellectual fortitude to recall the why’s of the faith. Maybe the Apostle’s Creed and the Lord’s Prayer become elusive to the mind, but the spirit prays in ways that I cannot hear nor understand.

Age surely comes. Dementia, I do not know. But I want my faith to be in a state where my spirit can continue the faith, no matter what.
