Jesus died for me while I was - and still am - a sinner. Even till my last days, I will still sin, despite my repentance and sincere efforts to live according to God's will daily. But Jesus does not need to die on the cross again as the sacrificial offering for my sins. He dealt with sin once and for all.

"He has appeared once and for all, to remove sin through the sacrifice of himself. Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God. In the same manner Christ also was offered in sacrifice once to take away the sins of many. He will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are waiting for him."
