Universe (2)
Open-mindedness in faith is openness to understand the faith deeper and/or in perspectives that are different than previously held. This might be due to discovery in religious and non-religious context.
What is written is something that survives the passage of time. It is preserved by those who subscribed to it. The text that does not survive is unknown.
One might argue that if God blessed it, then it would have survived. And if it did not survive, then it was not blessed. But this might be too narrow a context to interpret how God manages the universe.
The universe has existed far longer than the few thousands years of the existence of human written texts. And it may exist for as long forward as it has existed thus far.
Human text of the biblical time could not fully express the universe. To think those words define the universe with scientific precision is misguided.
I do not know what I do not know and that is fine by me. When I die, I will ask God to fill me in.
