Universe (4)
"Scientific knowledge" about the universe produces many people with belief that opposes religious faith. Implicit in it is the belief in intellectual superiority of their science over religious faith. But many theologians are intelligent, too - they simply choose to devote their intellect on a different topic.
And in truth, those scientists' opinion on God's (non) existence is actually based on their unspoken faith about the universe. As Tim Keller pointed out, mankind cannot scientifically reproduce the creation of universe as much as mankind cannot scientifically prove the existence of God. The scientists rely on faith about universe creation as much as Christians rely on faith that God created the same universe.
Living my life on earth according to God's will as best I can is a joyful life. Different kind of joy than non-followers of Christ, but I honestly am enjoying Christ in my life and all that brings into my day-to-day. No regrets.
If I discover when I die that God does not exist, that is not a loss, because I would have had a good life. And if God exists, then my joy will continue as I will be in God's presence.
