"There is no permanent city for us here on earth; we are looking for the city which is to come."

When travelling long distance, it is nice to take a rest at a place I really enjoy before continuing on to my destination. But if I get too comfortable and too attached to the place; and then I dwell there, then I will not get to reach my destination.

So it is with spiritual journey, my end goal is to be with Jesus in Heaven. If I get too attached with worldly comfort, I may get distracted and dwell on worldly ways.

There are many enjoyable things in this world - these are God's blessings. But my destination is God himself. And God is immensely more than his blessings.
