As the saying goes, “if it ain't broke don't fix it”. At the same time, whatever the root cause or historical reason, a strong desire to hold on to something can hold me back.

Just because it lasts long, does not mean it is still the best option for the use case. Don’t be “penny wise and pound foolish”.

I ought to balance the pragmatism of using whatever I already have and the sensibility of replacing it with something that is better fit for the job as currently called for.
