Of knowledge (2)

Knowledge can lead to power and fortune. Controlling it for personal or family or tribal gains has, for millennia, been how trade and politics work.

But the Lord calls us to use knowledge in reverent fear of him and to use it for his purpose.

"The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence];"

(Proverbs 1.7 AMP)

So how to apply it for his purpose?

“‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’”

(Matthew 22.37-39 NLT)
