What do you do when you reach bottom? When life is at the darkest and there is no hope?

After Jesus was buried, his disciples stayed together behind locked dooors (John 20) except Judas Iskariot. The timing is unclear from what is written, but Judas tried to return the thirty silver coins and eventually killed himself.

At the lowest point in life, emotional responses can lead to bad decisions that will not get me out of dark situations. But emotion is an integral part of being human as long as the flesh is still breathing.

Thus it is important to rely on the Spirit to give divine peace and to guide me through the raging storm no matter how long or how much worse it may get. Following the Spirit is the right course of action.

But speaking from experience, easier said than done.
