Course correction
"When the LORD corrects you, my child, pay close attention and take it as a warning. The LORD corrects those he loves, as parents correct a child of whom they are proud." (Proverbs 3.11-12 GNB)
There were many things I wanted to do, achieve, or acquire. I have not done them nor gotten most of them. A few things I never expected, I did or received. And I am thankful.
He wants what is good for me. And his definition of "good" is beyond my understanding at the time of the course correction, but it is important that I obey. Course correction from the LORD may not be pleasant, but it always led me to a better place.
Being in the right spiritual place is more important than impressing others or financial gain. I may disagree with the LORD on what is "good" at a given time and I can express it to him honestly. But he is always correct and it is better for me to listen to him. Always.
