These verses are in the “adultery” section, but they also apply broadly as warnings in other topics in life.

“Can you carry fire against your chest without burning your clothes? Can you walk on hot coals without burning your feet?”

Frequently I think consequences do not apply to me. I am smarter or stronger than others. And to my dismay, I always find the hard way that I am wrong.

Hummbled but sometimes not good at learning, I make similar mistakes again. Hopefully less frequent. 😁
