If I use a biased (or unbalanced) scale or a tampered weight, then the weighing will be inaccurate. I need to give others their due - to give them what they "paid" for; not to steal from them.

Scales and weights can also refer to how I perceive and treat others, which starts in my heart. When my heart is biased or unbalanced or weighted with selfish interest, then my perceptions will come out inaccurate too and affect how I treat others.

Dear LORD,
purify my heart
and help me see others
like Jesus sees them
