Flow through us

"Some years ago, Harvard psychologist Gordon Allport called love 'incomparably the greatest psychotherapeutic agent in the universe.' He added that the Christian church knows more about this than anyone in today's secular society, but he regretted the 'age-long failure of religion to turn doctrine into practice.'

If the love of God were to flow through us as it should and reach out to others, then the results would be staggering.

But to love is risky. It takes time and effort and involves us, sometimes, in a good deal of inconvenience. This is why we tend to talk a lot about love, but do very little to demonstrate it."
