And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. Character and hope of salvation - they all started from endurance. And God forges endurance through problems and trials.

Gods seeks faith that keeps on believing and obeying even when I keep running into "problems and trials". And Christlike characters that develop as I keep on believing and obeying are characters that bring me closer to Christ - "the hope of salvation".

Faith longs for God to fill my heart with Christ' love as I love others like Christ loves me.

Dear God
please fill me with Christ' love
as you forge my endurance
