Do not cause stumble

"Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. ...

So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. ...

Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God. So let’s stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall."

(Romans 14.1-13 NLT)

"Holier than thou" attitude can cause other believers to stumble and push away non-believers from Christ.

You and I are sinners. If you think you are holier than me, then good for you, but keep it to yourself. Bragging about it and imposing it on others is prideful. “Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.” (Proverbs 16.18 NLT)

God knows my thoughts and my motives. And he will judge me accordingly.

Dear God
please purify my heart
and grant me humility
