How would I respond?
“When I send against them the deadly arrows of hunger which were for the destruction of those whom I will send to destroy you, then I will increase the famine upon you and break your staff of bread. Further, I will send against you hunger and wild beasts, and they will bereave you of children; virulent disease and bloodshed also will pass through you, and I will bring the sword on you. I, the Lord, have spoken.’”
~ Ezekiel 5.16-17 AMP
As a nation, at that time Israel was bad, but maybe there were at least a few bystanders who got roped into this mess by their parents, community leaders, employers, etc. What about them?
They also had to go through the destruction, famine, disease, and bloodshed like the rest of Israel. How did they respond to God? How did they deal with their relationships to the bad Israelites who got the entire nation into this mess?
See around us.
How would I respond to God? How would I deal with “those people”?
Jesus was truly without sin and yet he got roped into a much bigger mess. What did Jesus do?
