Insider perspective

I just received an email from an acquaintance who resides in an interesting area. An insider view might be biased, but it is closer to the ground. The frontline, so to speak. The email update brings a different perspective than what I see or read in the news.

A reminder that news also carries its own bias due to budget, time, knowledge, geography, or whatever contraint there is in the news organisation. Cross check and take them in with a healthy dose of analytical mindset. Be careful how I take them in and form my own position based on any of them.

And be careful what and how I repeat or retransmit.

"I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

~ Matthew 12.36-37 ESV
