Genesis 9.1-17 is an interesting story about rainbow's use as a reminder. Rainbow existed before Noah existed, but God added another meaning to it for Noah and his descendants. The rainbow was to serve as a reminder of the covenant between God and Noah.

Likewise a cross existed before Jesus hung there, but it now carries another meaning. A reminder of his sacrifice for mankind and of the new covenant between God and mankind.

In our daily lives, we have little reminders of something too. Do you know your reminder of God's amazing grace in your life?
