Sanctify Sabbaths
“I am the Lord your God; walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and observe them. Sanctify My Sabbaths and keep them holy; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, that you may know [without any doubt] that I am the Lord your God.”
~ Ezekiel 20.19-20 AMP
The people “profaned” the LORD’s Sabbaths and it angered the LORD. That was repeated four times in Ezekiel 20. He demands that we sanctify his Sabbaths and keep them holy.
What does Sabbath mean to me?
To me it is marking a cycle in time. A reminder to repent - it is a day to reset. Of reflection and starting over. Of recommitting my life to the LORD.
Sure that is something to do daily, but on Sabbath, I get to do it together in fellowship with other believers. Publically declaring that God is the LORD of my life, in witness of each other.
Dedicate Sabbaths to the LORD.
