Society in general has been consumed by money for ages. Some are more than others and each in varying forms. Maybe it started even before the use of money, during hunting-gathering period. “How can I ensure I will have enough?”

The definition of “have enough” evolved as society developed and it continues to evolve. Most people have an instinct to worry about “having enough” even when objectively they “have enough”, because they look beyond tomorrow and to the uncertainty that is beyond control.

And so “having enough” is reframed and evolves.

The fact of the matter is, I cannot control most things. So to be consumed by making sure that I will always “have enough” is not healthy.

Many in the world will tell me I am wrong - I used to be one of those. But God reminded me yesterday that I ought not depend on my own effort. I ought to depend on God.

He knows my needs and he is enough.
