Receiving gift 🎁 (2)
From time to time I receive a gift that I do not truly like. I may not hate it, but it just does not suit my personal taste. But it is a gift nonetheless and something that I ought to be thankful for.
"What does not kill me makes me stronger." Ever heard that saying? Maybe true in some cases, but pain can also make me bitter. So it is important to go through pain in Jesus' peace to come out on the other side stronger and grateful.
God sent me through difficult times occasionally and I am stronger now, I think, because of them. I can be grateful now, however painful they were when I went through them.
So thank you God
for the gifts of pain
You make me who I am
by being always with me
through them all
I do not want
more pain
but if it is your will
then please help me
go through it
Because I look forward
to your shaping me
to become more and more
like Jesus
