"And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice — the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live."

"The dead" - those who are counted "dead" by certain groups of people, those who are considered not living "right", those who are different from them, yada yada. Some of those "dead" people will hear Jesus' voice. And those who hear and listen will live.

As Jesus' followers, I can be his loudspeaker so "the dead" will hear his voice.

"For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?

That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”"
