Huge crowd always chase after healing and miracles in churches even today. Even non-believers are willing to come and see for themselves.
The question is: when they do not experience the healing nor the miracle themselves, will they keep coming? Or when the healing and the miracle stop at these events, will the church go empty?
To keep following Jesus, one must experience him deeply from the inside out. One must look past one healing / miracle, but into daily incursions with the Holy Spirit. Jesus did not promise smooth sailing. He promised a spiritual Helper - the Holy Spirit.
