"They had rowed three or four miles when suddenly they saw Jesus walking on the water toward the boat. They were terrified, but he called out to them, “Don’t be afraid. I am here!” Then they were eager to let him in the boat, and immediately they arrived at their destination!"
~ John 6.19-21 NLT
Compare this story with the one in Matthew 14. John did not write about Peter walking on water. Surely John knew. Is this a different event or John did not think it a necessary part of the narrative?
Life events are also like that. Sometimes I get more details and participation from people around me to accomplish God's will. Sometimes I feel like it is just me and God.
In both, the same narrative applies. Jesus walked on water. And the boat and his followers were safe. Of these I can be confident.
