To be his disciple (2)

"Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”"

~ John 8.31-32 NLT

Discipleship is a mindset. I am Jesus' disciple as long a I "remain faithful to his teachings". If I do not, then I am not truly his disciple. Discipleship is a continuous process for as long as I live. And faithfulness is revealed by the daily decisions that I make: to remain faithful or to follow the world. Every single decision.

And when I fall down, I get back up to follow his teachings. To look forward and onward, instead of getting dragged down by the past mistakes.

Oh Holy Spirit
please give me strength to be faithful
every day
