"If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honour him."

To follow Jesus, I must conform to his example and hold steadfastly to him.
Many people say they follow Jesus, but they do not wholeheartedly want to conform to his example. They accept "salvation" and reject conformance to Jesus at the same time.
Okay, 100% conformance to Jesus 100% of the time for human might be out of reach. But the heart of the matter is the heart: the sincere intent and effort to hold steadfastly to Jesus and not to my own fleshly desire.
I fail from time to time, but with all my heart, I sincerely try to conform to Jesus all the time.
