Life stages for most people are more or less defined based on approximate age. In some cases, it may "feel" better if someone can reach the next stage "on time" or early. Starting college and finishing college at certain age range is one of them. There is a sense of accomplishment if one can accomplish those earlier than others.
On the other hand, what is the real impetus to get into the labour pool earlier? Most likely is the need or the desire to get into paying job. And do it well to advance in the career and earn more pay.
At the same time, as Christians, we trust in God's provisions and ought to live a lifestyle that serve God, not money. There is no need to rush through life stages. Our final destination is guaranteed in Jesus.
Lord,
help me to "not worry about tomorrow"
and may I not rush through life
so I do not miss your blessings today
