Loyal in need (2)
"Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been taken away from the entrance. She went running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and told them, “They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!”"
~ John 20.1-2 GNB
Many people knew the faces of Jesus' disciples. Some of them went with the mob who crucified Jesus, thus there was reason for the disciples to fear their bad intention toward the disciples too.
Mary Magdalene, Simon Peter, and the rest of the disciples entourage were not from that area, but they stayed. This despite they disappeared on Jesus and Peter denying Jesus three times.
Did they all stay in one place, crowding in someone's place? Or an inn? Or were they scattered in several places?
Who hosted them? Surely they knew about the danger or negative implications of being associated with Jesus by this time. History shows that people who harbours wanted people got implicated. But they did not drive away Mary Magdalene, Simon Peter, and the rest of the disciples. They kept hosting them.
They stayed loyal to Jesus and kept helping Mary Magdalene and the disciples.
