Shape of miracle (3)

"In his disciples' presence Jesus performed many other miracles which are not written down in this book. But these have been written in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through your faith in him you may have life."

~ John 20.30-31 GNB

Mankind has progressed knowledge and technology to the point that many things were not possible in past, but now possible. If people of old see what can be done now, they would say these are miraculous. But are they miracles?

Healing cancer? He can, but there is also good medicine and doctor for it. Is it still a miracle? But what if someone is poor and there is nobody to pay for the treatment? For this person, getting the treatment, be healed, and not be in financial debt - this would be a miracle.

For some, a situation may require miracle. For others, they can make the bad situation go away. Miracle is subjective.

Miracle is something that God does to help someone believe God exists and cares, to show his way where there seems to be no way out, or to go beyond my thought to accomplish something bigger for him. Miracle's objective is to glorify him.
