Honour holiness (2)

"So the people of Kiriath Jearim fetched the LORD's Covenant Box and took it to the house of a man named Abinadab, who lived on a hill. They consecrated his son Eleazar to be in charge of it. The Covenant Box of the LORD stayed in Kiriath Jearim a long time, some twenty years."

The Covenant Box moved from Beth Shemesh, where the LORD killed seventy people, to Kiriath Jearim. But the people of Kiriath Jearim honoured the LORD's holiness and thus the LORD did not harm any of them and the Covenant Box stayed at Abinadab's house for twenty years.

When something bad happens to me, it is not always due to my own foolishness, External circumstances or other people can cause it. But it is not a bad place to start checking.

Have I been honouring the LORD's holiness? Have I been obeying him?
