Outward appearance

"But the LORD said to [Samuel], “Pay no attention to how tall and handsome he is. I have rejected him, because I do not judge as people judge. They look at the outward appearance, but I look at the heart.”"

Ironic that the world is utterly obssessed with outward appearance and outward appearance does not get them anywhere closer to the LORD. Sure, fun and life enjoyment is good, but not at the expense of heart far from the LORD.

Oh Holy Spirit purify my heart
Let it shine through and bring blessings
That others may know from the outward
That I follow Jesus
