Choose obedience (6)
"... When Bathsheba heard that her husband had been killed, she mourned for him. When the time of mourning was over, David sent for her to come to the palace; she became his wife and bore him a son. But the LORD was not pleased with what David had done."
~ 2 Samuel 11 GNB
Bathsheba was not involved in the death of her husband, but with regard to the initial adultery, was she completely innocent or was she a willing participant?
Regardless, the onus is on David who should not have lusted after Bathsheba. Everyone, king or not, is accountable to the LORD's law. "Thou shalt not commit adultery."
But David did not choose obedience this time.
Him pleasing the LORD multiple times before did not make his sin acceptable. And "the LORD was not pleased".
